St Saviour’s Anglican Church

is COMMITTED to

  • The care, nurture, and respectful pastoral ministry of all children, young persons and adults
  • The safeguarding and protection of all who may be vulnerable
  • Building up safe, caring communities with a loving environment
  • Looking out for abuse
  • Making sure our staff are trained to protect vulnerable people
  • Preventing abuse by actively promoting safeguarding
  • Responding to every concern seriously
  • Listening to concerns
  • Passing any concern on to the right authorities – our Diocese, local agencies or the police
  • Cooperating with others to spot abuse and stop it before it happens
  • Seeking to work with anyone who has suffered abuse, helping and caring for them
  • Seeking to challenge any abuse of power, especially by anyone in a position of trust
  • Seeking to offer pastoral care and support, including supervision and referral to the proper authorities, to any member of our church community known to have offended against a child, young person or vulnerable adult.
